Designed by Wade Robinson, the reverse portrays the Four Mythical Guardians against a dramatic background of mountain peaks and clouds. Each guardian represents a cardinal direction, season and traditional element: the Phoenix represents the south, summer and fire; the White Tiger represents the west, autumn and metal; the Tortoise entwined with a snake represents the north, winter and water; and the Dragon represents the east, spring and wood.

The reverse also incorporates the 2025 year-date and The Perth Mint's iconic “P” mintmark. For additional security, a micro-laser engraved authentication feature is incorporated into the design and is detectable under magnification.

The obverse features the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III together with the coin's weight, purity and AUD $100 monetary denomination. Each coin is presented in a protective acrylic capsule.
